This blog is dedicated to highlighting Everything Fleet’s strongest assets – our amazing team.

Peek behind the curtains to get to know Jason a little better and learn about his journey.

Jason is part of our Operations Management Team and has been with Jonday for more than 6 years.

Despite buying, selling and renovating a house as well as introducing a newborn baby into his life, Jason has worked tirelessly to keep the wheels in motion during our transition from Thrifty to Everything Fleet and we couldn’t have successfully rebranded without such a dedicated Team member behind us.

Starting in the industry 12 years ago, with Redspot / Enterprise Car Rental, Jason has always worked in Operations – starting as a Duty Manager, then proceeding to Branch Manager, Regional Manager and now Operations Manager.

Jason, tell us a bit about yourself…
What is the favourite part of your job?

My favourite part has been mentoring the new and upcoming managers and seeing their careers progress the way that my mentors did for me when I was coming through the ranks.

I have also loved working on massive projects like the Commonwealth Games and supplying vehicles all over Australia for the numerous films we have worked on.

Other than work, what do you like to do?

When I’m not working, I am spending time with my wife and our 9 month old daughter Melody.

What is your favourite car?

My favourite car on fleet is definitely the Ford Mustang. When you start the engine and hear it for the first time, that is a pretty special sound you don’t hear in many cars. However, my ideal car to drive would be the Mercedes AMG G 63.

What is one thing you need to consider when renting a car?
  • It is important to make sure you take out the optional protection cover  – you can’t put a price on peace of mind.
  • Always read the Terms and Conditions. You could end up paying a lot extra if you are involved in an accident and if you don’t understand what the standard cover provides.
  • Also, be aware of the additional charges. Unlike Everything Fleet, a lot of car rental companies charge a Vehicle Registration Recovery Fee (VRRF) and Premium Location Surcharge when renting from an airport or a remote location.
