Meet Emeilia

The day the team at Everything Fleet met Emeilia, we saw a beautiful natured, kind, funny and down to earth person. Fast forward almost a year and we are so lucky to have her steering the wheels with us – she is definitely a keeper!

With a can-do attitude, you will never know where you might find Emeilia from one day to the next, she could be driving a truck, detailing a car or behind the counters.

Emeilia, tell us a bit about yourself…

What do you love about your job?

Customer interaction would have to be at the top of my list. I LOVE to talk so whenever we pick up customers from the Gold Coast Airport, I love hearing their stories of where they came from, what their plans are for their holidays and giving them suggestions of my favourite places to go and things to do. We have different walks of life that come through our doors so it’s always something new and different to talk about.

What brought you to the Gold Coast?

I came to the Gold Coast on the 1st of January 2023 when we had the floods in South Australia. I was working as a Functions and Assistant Manager at a beautiful place in the quiet town of Mannum right on the river. We got flooded out and I was transferred to one of the Taverns they own in Tweed Heads as a temp worker and I loved it so much here that I couldn’t go back! I worked a year at the Tavern until I got offered the job with Everything Fleet. So, it was all a blessing in disguise otherwise I wouldn’t be here surrounded by such beautiful people.

What do you enjoy most about working at Everything Fleet?

The people I work alongside, I have never been a part of a company that makes you feel like you’re a family. Everyone takes time out of their day to help regardless how big or small the issue is, and they support you in and out of work. BEST group I have had the privilege to work with.

What’s the weirdest fact you know?

A sloth’s long nails aren’t actually nails. They’re bones that protrude from the skin and are wrapped in a layer of keratin. They also only poop once a week and it’s a third of their body weight …. IN ONE GO!

An interesting fact about yourself?

I had a major operation to fix my 60-degree curved spine at the ripe age of 12. I am currently walking around with two metal rods in my back that are bolted to every second vertebrae, I can still do everything everyone else can do (other than make it as a rugby player), and I will forever have great posture!
