We are an independently owned and operated Australian company, supplying customized vehicle solutions to our clients wherever they may be across Australia.
At 22 years of age, Keith Alexander started working at Thrifty Car Rentals, washing vehicles at the Surfers Paradise branch. Years later, Keith took the opportunity to purchase the company (Jonday Holdings) with the VonBibra Group, starting off with 4 locations, 15 employees and 400 vehicles.
Decades later, this dynamic partnership became the fastest-growing car rental franchisee in the Thrifty network, proudly winning the Large Franchise of the Year Award, followed up by the coveted contract to supply over 1800+ vehicles for the Commonwealth Games. By 2020, having 42 locations, 150 employees, and close to 4,000 vehicles on fleet, Jonday had built a strong foundation satisfying its client’s diversified needs and remaining agile to market conditions.
Nevertheless, all good things must come to an end. When Thrifty’s parent company (Hertz) went into Administration, an Agreement was established to surrender the master licence and thus began the dismantling of Australia’s franchise model.
