We are thrilled to announce our new Partnership with Trojan’s Trek and HomeFront.

Shell Green T20 Match

Something special just happened on Anzac Day out at Brookfield Showgrounds. More than 6000 veterans, family members, school kids, community organisation volunteers, and members of the SE QLD community streamed through the gates to commemorate Australia’s most significant and unifying national holiday. A beautiful service was held to remember the sacrifice of service personnel, before settling in for a magnificent autumn afternoon of cricket and family entertainment.

This cricket match is a commemorative event honouring the daring and notorious Shell Green played during World War 1, where members of the Australian Army participated in a cricket match in Gallipoli as a diversionary tactic to ensure the safe withdrawal of troops. Prior to the match, a service was held to remember the sacrifice of service personnel during World War 1.

This year’s match included Lord Mayor Adrian Schrinner, AFL legend Alastair Lynch and the 7th Brigade – Australian Army.  RSL Queensland President Major General Stephen Day was on hand to graciously accept defeat on behalf of deployed 7th Brigade  Commander in a wonderful exchange with local Councillor Greg Adermann that reflected the camaraderie of the afternoon.

A signed Shane Warne ball, kept field-side under the watchful eye of Test Cricketer and Vietnam Veteran Tony Dell, went off in the flagship raffle to a local Kenmore man who had bought $100 worth of tickets, proceeds of which went to national veteran crisis organisation Wounded Heroes Australia.

Building living legacies, taking responsibility for the preservation of customs and traditions, and bringing the community shoulder-to-shoulder with Australian military veterans are cornerstones of HomeFront’s mission and Everything Fleet is proud to be able to support such an event.

Trojan’s Trek

Trojans Trek, a Nonprofit organization based in SA & QLD (est 2009), is a vehicle-led, national wilderness-based Peer Support Intervention to assist Veterans (and First Responders), adversely affected by their service.  What they are doing is simply put, incredible. The goal is to support those who are serving and have served in Defence Australia, Police, Ambulance, and Fire. Focussing on strengths and wellness, rather than  injury, Trojans Trek offers a space for shared experience.

Rooted in peer-reviewed programs, Trojans Trek offers a unique and life-altering experience to help our communities rediscover their core values, purpose, and identity as they migrate from a life of service to civilian living or returning to work.

With this exciting collaboration, Everything Fleet will provide vehicles for Trojans Trek’s events, ensuring participants have safe and reliable transportation as they embark on their transformative journeys. A huge thank you goes out to Euan Joiner for his role in making this partnership a reality.

Euan’s efforts have been instrumental in bringing together two organisations committed to positively impacting serving, ex-serving, police and first responders’ lives. We are incredibly excited about this partnership’s opportunities and the enhanced experiences it will provide our participants. Here’s to new beginnings and impactful partnerships!

Everyone still serving, looking to transition out, looking for a circuit breaker, or just needing a break to reset… Trojans Trek is here to support service and ex-service personnel, police, and first responders.
