About the Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, we are looking for a Pricing Officer that has worked in the Car Rental industry, to assist in the implementation and execution of pricing and yield strategies in the domestic markets.

Based in Southport, this role is a casual role, where you will work approx. 10-20 hours per week, Monday – Friday across 3-4 days, with flexibility to work additional hours as required. For the first 2 weeks of training, you will be required to work 2 full days.

The successful candidate will need to have an analytical mind, be numerically strong with a focus on attention to detail.  This role is key to ensuring that the company has a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Implement pricing strategies for the company, including preparing rate sheets; enter and test rates and uploading new products/services into the ERA reservations system
  • Run daily reports to analyse information and make recommendations regarding changes to pricing structure
  • Conduct regular analysis on market pricing data and demand & supply factors. Review data to identify trends and gaps that influence revenue opportunities
  • Create and maintain new rate sheets and proposals for both for local and corporate customers and act as the point of contact for major clients
  • Update and manage the company’s rate sheet proposals for use by Sales Team
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tenders for government and other large contracts
  • Liaise with Accounts Receivable in relation to credit checks and PPSR requirements for new accounts & manage online filing system for customer credit applications, signed rates proposals and rates sheets
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties and administrative duties as required

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in a Pricing role within the car industry is a MUST 
  • ERA reservation experience highly advantageous
  • Advanced Computer skills, fast and accurate data entry, with the ability to do advanced formulas within Excel required
  • Strong analytical & numerical skills with the ability to amalgamate large amounts of data to assist with market comparisons, pricing strategies and business driven outcomes
  • Excellent customer service and problem resolution skills
  • Own reliable transport to get to and from work
  • Strong ability to work unsupervised, with a strong work ethic, sense of responsibility and accountability
  • Ability to multi-task, be highly organised with strong attention to detail and time management skills
